James Bond 007 will be back and bigger than ever this year as EON Productions, MGM and Sony have announced that they will mark the 50th anniversary of the movie series with an IMAX release for the long-awaited twenty-third chapter in the franchise, Skyfall, which will coincide with the film's UK release on October 26th, 2012. Skyfall sees Bond’s loyalty to M tested when her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
The film sees the return of Daniel Craig for his third outing as Ian Fleming’s legendary super spy after Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, with Judi Dench reprising her role as M. Skyfall also stars franchise newcomers Ralph Fiennes (Coriolanus), Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men), Naomie Harris (The First Grader), Albert Finney (The Bourne Legacy), Helen McCrory (Hugo) and Ben Whishaw (Cloud Atlas), and is directed by Oscar-winner Sam Mendes (American Beauty).

Wow so excited for this (although obviously I was anyway). Not sure if I can even make it to an IMAX though...
