Six new official images from The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight Rises has taken a bit of a back seat over the last few of months, with Warner Bros. opting for a reserved publicity campaign while Disney unleash their marketing might upon Marvel’s The Avengers in the run up to the release of the dream superhero team-up. However, Entertianment Weekly has moved to appease Batman fans and shift a little of the focus back towards Christopher Nolan’s hugely-anticipated sequel with their latest issue. In addition to offering up some quotes from the director and his cast, they’ve also got their hands on the following official images, which delivers some new shots of Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne / Batman), Anne Hathaway (Selina Kyle / Catwoman) and Tom Hardy (Bane), as well as Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s ‘John Blake’ and Morgan Freeman’s Lucius Fox. Feast your eyes…

Be sure to check out EW for some (fairly unrevealing) quotes from Nolan, Hardy and Hathaway.

The Dark Knight Rises is described as the ‘epic conclusion’ to Christopher Nolan’s Batman saga and sees the aforementioned names joined in the cast by Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Joey King, Matthew Modine and Nestor Carbonell. The film is set to hit cinemas on July 20th.

Bane looks bad ass – I'm still mixed on Catwoman

Vote for The Dark Knight Rises:
• Yeah Bane looks great. I haven't been impressed much by what we've seen of Catwoman, although I think this picture is the best so far. Has a bit of a Julie Newmar vibe to it.
