The Dark Knight Rises Broken Cowl Edition and special features announced

As The Dark Knight Rises‘ theatrical run winds down, attention is shifting towards the home-entertainment release of the epic conclusion to Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dark Knight’ trilogy, and – ahead of its arrival this December – we now have a look at the rather fantastic-looking ‘Broken Cowl Edition’, as well as a rundown of the special features…

Also available on December 3rd, just in time for holiday gift-giving, is “The Dark Knight Trilogy Limited Edition Giftset,” featuring “Batman Begins,” “The Dark Knight” and “The Dark Knight Rises” all in one collection. Available on Blu-ray or standard definition DVD, “The Dark Knight Trilogy Limited Edition Giftset” will also include a premium book exclusive to the collection, which takes fans deeper into the epic franchise, as well as existing special features.

The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard and Joseph-Gordon-Levitt, and is slated to arrive on DVD and Blu-ray on December 4th.

  • What an odd cover choice for the regular DVD. I've never seen that picture before and I think it's not recognizable/typical enough as the regular DVD cover. I'd assume the normale iconic TDKR poster would be the regular, and perhaps this new eccentric the blu-ray one. Funny, the DVD trilogy has the best cover, yet out of all of these it's the only one I didn't plan on buying…

    The book that is in the shots is actually about six times the size of a bluray and is available now, I think it&#39;s a fan made dodgy mock up, case artwork looks a bit poor and the broken cowl box was floating around last month on the net, wasn&#39;t it just another fan made wish?
