The producers of The CW's new live-action DC Comics superhero show Arrow may not be able to get their hands on Batman, but they're doing a pretty good job of borrowing from his Rogues Gallery. It's already been announced that the assassin Deadshot will be popping up in Starling City, and now comes word that the pyromaniac Firefly is set to heat things up for Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) in the tenth episode of the series. Via Zap2It:
"In episode 110, Oliver will meet Garfield -- a firefighter who was
horribly burned three years ago, and never recovered from the trauma.
Since then, he's been abandoned by his wife and kids, and he's now
described as a "bitter, vengeful shell of a man." Meanwhile, the
Starling City Fire Chief is also haunted by Garfield's injury... since
he's the one who was forced to leave Garfield behind to burn."
Arrow enjoyed a successful Stateside premiere last Wednesday, while this week's episode sees the introduction of the first major DC Comics 'Special Guest Villain' - or rather 'Villainess' - in China White, portrayed by Kelly Hu (X2: X-Men United). Also lined up for guest starring roles in the coming weeks are Jeffrey Robinson (Kick-Ass) as Deathstroke, John Barrowman (Doctor Who) as the mysterious 'Well Dressed Man', and Jessica De Gouw (Underbelly) as The Huntress.
