Bates Motel is set to deliver a contemporary spin on the Alfred Hitchcock classic and has been created by by former Lost show-runner Carlton Cuse and Friday Night Lights writer Kerry Ehrin, who have assembled a strong cast led by Freddie Highmore (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Art of Getting By) as a young Norman Bates and Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air, Source Code) as 'Mother' - a.k.a. Mrs. Norma Bates. The series is also set to feature the likes of Nestor Carbonell (Lost), Max Thieriot (House at the End of the Street), Mike Vogel (Cloverfield) and Olivia Cooke (The Quiet Ones), and will premiere on A&E on March 18th.
These posters alone create a lot of questions about the
ReplyDeletestories set to occur in The Bates Motel. I have been discussing the posters
with a coworker at DISH, and we agree that they really set an uneasy tone to
the show. I am very interested to learn more about the childhood of Norman
Bates, so I will definitely be setting my DISH Hopper to record this season. I
am always busy, so with the amount of shows my roommate and I watch, the 2,000
hours of storage space has been amazing. We no longer have to worry about
missing anything we watch, and with the Whole-Home HD DVR, we can watch our
recordings in any room in the house. My roommate isn’t a fan of horror, so I
will definitely taking advantage of this feature with this show. It seems like
it will really push the envelope, and with Psycho as the inspiration, I would
expect nothing less.
