The weekend fan festival that celebrates the legacy of the Star Wars franchise on a global scale will be taking place from July 26 to July 28, 2013 in Essen, Germany. Star Wars Celebration Europe attendees will be treated to the appearance of Carrie Fisher (When Harry Met Sally) who at the age of 19 starred as Princess Leia Organa in the original trilogy; the daughter of Debbie Reynolds (The Unsinkable Molly Brown) and singer Eddie Fisher will be making appearances at the Celebration Autograph Hall as well at the main stage where she will be interviewed by celebrity host Warwick Davis (Willow), who portrayed the Ewok Wicket in Return of the Jedi (1983).
“I’m always excited to do anything that has to do with Star Wars, said Carrie Fisher who will be reprising the iconic role along with Mark Hamill (Corvette Summer) and Harrison Ford (Ender’s Game) in Star Wars VII which is scheduled to be release in 2015 under the direction of J.J. Abrams (Star Trek Into Darkness). “It’s an opportunity to travel with my metal bikini and not take the opportunity to wear my metal bikini. Especially for Germans, the last group of people I’d want to offend, metal-bikini-wise.”
