Last week Sharknado caused quite a splash on social media. Its ridiculous premise had many people wondering what the execs at SyFy must be smoking. They clearly haven’t stopped.
Set to air in the US on August 22nd, Ghost Shark takes things paranormal, with the ghost of a Great White able to appear anywhere there is enough water to sustain its phantom form… obviously. As you can see in the trailer below, that leads to some interesting scenes. A shark attack in a bath tub? Clearly anything goes.
“The phrase we use internally is ‘ridiculously entertaining,’” Thomas Vitale, executive vice president of programming and original movies at Syfy, told Bloomberg about the channel’s creative process. “We have fun brainstorming sessions, I can tell you that.”
Ghost Shark is directed by Griff Furst and stars Mackenzie Rosman, Dave Randolph-Mayhem Davis, Richard Moll and Shawn C. Phillips.
