Ra’s al Ghul to appear in Arrow?

Liam Neeson in Batman Begins

We already know that season two of The CW’s hit superhero series Arrow is set to expand the ‘DC Television Universe’ with the introduction of several DC Comics characters, including Black Canary, Bronze Tiger, Brother Blood, Sin and The Flash. Now it seems we might be seeing another, with an episode summary for episode 5 of the upcoming season seemingly pointing to the introduction of Batman rogue Ra’s al Ghul, who was of course portrayed by Liam Neeson in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises.

According to TheGreenArrow, the fifth episode of season two “will feature a character called Awwal who is a Dark Archer, trained by Malcolm Merlyn.” Awwal will be after Lisa, a new love-interest for Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen, described as “a mysterious woman with a tragic past [who] will wreak havoc on Oliver’s heart and is equal to Oliver in every way.” The episode in question is called ‘The Demon’s Head’, which is Arabic for Ra’s al Ghul, and seems to indicate that Ra’s – or perhaps The League of Assassins – will be heading to Starling City when the show resumes this October.
