A few weeks ago, Chris Pine (Star Trek Into Darkness, Rise of the Guardians) was confirmed for Horrible Bosses 2, after rumours he and Christoph Waltz (Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained) were to play the sequel’s father/son duo who “would terrorize the main characters as their new bosses.” Variety confirmed Pine to star, but Waltz was believed to have pulled out due to scheduling conflicts.
The same source has now confirmed Waltz’s signature, and he will now appear in the comedy sequel as Pine’s father. Which raises the question: cool accent or no cool accent?
Waltz and Pine will join returning cast members Jason Bateman (Arrested Development), Charlie Day (Pacific Rim) and Jason Sudeikis (We’re the Millers), with Sean Anders (We’re the Millers) replacing Seth Gordon (Identity Thief) in the director’s chair.
Horrible Bosses 2 will open on November 26th, 2014.
