The footage reveals practically nothing about the film due it being in the form of a seven-second Instagram video - a movie trend I fail to understand. What is shown is snippets of images of the main cast, mainly Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and old Professor X (Patrick Stewart) crying and shouting.
In other news, Bryan Singer is doing a live Twitter chat this coming Monday (October 28th) at 5.30pm GMT, with the first full trailer debuting on Tuesday (October 29th).
The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.
X-Men Days of Future Past also stars (deep breath) X-veterans Ian McKellen (Magneto), James McAvoy (Professor X), Lucas Till (Havok), Halle Berry (Storm), Anna Paquin (Rogue), Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) and Daniel Cudmore (Colossus) alongside X-Men newcomers Evan Peters (American Horror Story) as Quicksilver, Booboo Stewart (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) as Warpath, Omar Sy (The Intouchables) as Bishop, Fan Binbing (Iron Man 3) as Blink, Adam Canto (The Following) as Sunspot and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) as Bolivar Trask. The film is set to open on 23rd May, 2014.
