Sophie Turner has joined the action comedy Barely Lethal, which is being directed by Kyle Newman (Fanboys). The film, written by John D’Arco, follows a 16-year-old assassin (played by Hailee Steinfeld) longing for a “normal” adolescence who fakes her own death and enrolls as a senior in a suburban high school. Turner will play an undercover agent who also enrolls in order to help capture the teen.
Barely Lethal also stars Jessica Alba (Machete) and Samuel L. Jackson (Avengers Assemble), and is being produced by RKO Pictures, Hopscotch Pictures and Rat Entertainment.
Turner, who stars as Sansa Stark on HBO’s popular fantasy series Game of Thrones, will soon be making her feature film debut in Isabel Coixet’s supernatural thriller Another Me, alongside Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Rhys Ifans.
