For the past two seasons, and now a third, Jessica Lange has been absolutely amazing on FX’s American Horror Story. She won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her performance in the first season and was nominated for both for her performance in season two. After so much success already it looks as if the next season, season four, will be the last for Jessica Lange.
She spoke with the LA Times recently where she spoke about American Horror Story as well as retiring from acting soon. “I am coming to the end of acting,” she told the paper. “I have a list: another stage production, maybe one or two more movies, one more season of ‘American Horror Story’… and then that is it for me. Because I think that’s enough. I want to go out with a bang … or should I say, a scare?”
If Jessica Lange does decide to step down from acting she already has a lot to show for it with two Oscars, two Emmys and five Golden Globes. American Horror Story certainly won’t be the same without her as she has been the best part of the first two seasons and is already on track as a scene-stealer in season three.
