In the 80s Jackie Chan established himself as a martial artist and action superstar with his films Armour of God, and Armour of God 2. Armour of God was well known for going against the grain, with a slight, but effective focus on journeying and globe-trotting, in true Indiana Jones style. The films also helped to establish Jackie Chan as a brand, which eventually led to him becoming some what of a novelty in U.S. film.
In 2012, Jackie Chan sought to revisit the early days of his career by returning to Armour of God for a sequel known simply as CZ12. Jackie Chan reprises his role as Asian Hawk, as he goes on a mission to recover 12 mystical artifacts. There seems to be some kind of conspiracy involving statues of animals which represent the Chinese Zodiac.
Jackie isn’t exactly as nimble or agile as he was back then, but from a quick glimpse at the trailer for CZ12 (a.k.a. Chinese Zodiac) it seems he hasn’t lost much form.
CZ12 is set for release in the States on October 18th.
