Now that Thor: The Dark World has arrived and his promotional duties on the Marvel sequel are almost up, it’s thought that director Alan Taylor will turn his attention to the upcoming Terminator and now we have a few names rumoured to be in contention for the roles of Sarah and John Connor in the 2015 sequel / prequel / reboot.
According to Schmoes Know, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Brie Larson (21 Jump Street) and Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) are being considered to step into the shoes of Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor, while Boyd Holbrook (The Host) and Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy) are said to be in the frame for the role of John Connor (a future John Connor obviously).
Earlier reports have indicated that both Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn could be up for cameos in Terminator, while Arnold Schwarzenegger is said to be returning and Dwayne Johnson (Fast & Furious 6, G.I. Joe: Retaliation) has also been mentioned for the role of the cyborg killing machine. Frankly, it’s all getting a bit confusing, and if this is a genuine reboot then surely an entirely new cast should be the way to go?
