First clip from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The much anticipated sequel to The Hunger Games, Catching Fire is readying itself for release on the 22nd November and today, Lionsgate have released the first official clip showing Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth) having a casual discussion with protagonist Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence). Check it out below….

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire sees Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend) taking over directing duties from Gary Ross, with Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth joined by the returning Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones and Willow Shields alongside Hunger Games newcomers Sam Claflin (Snow White and the Huntsman), Jena Malone (Donnie Darko), Philip Seymour Hoffman (The Master), Jeffrey Wright (Broken City), Amanda Plummer (Pulp Fiction) and Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is set for release on November 22nd.
