2014 is shaping up to be a pretty big year for the Danish toy brick manufacturers LEGO. Not only is The LEGO Movie banking big bucks at the box office, but the toy line is also set to extend with what is sure to be one of its most popular licensed properties in The Simpsons, which also happens to be celebrating its 25th anniversary.
As well as a line of Simpsons LEGO sets, the town of Springfield will be getting the brick treatment for a special LEGO-themed episode of the classic TV series entitled ‘Brick Like Me’, set to air on May 4th. The 550th episode of the long-running animated sitcom will see Homer waking up to discover everyone in Springfield is made of LEGO, forcing him to “put together” how he got there and somehow figure out how to get home before he finds himself stuck in a world of bricks forever.
