Olivia Wilde (House) has joined Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese’s upcoming rock and roll pilot for HBO. The as-yet-unnamed drama follows the sex and drug fuelled music business in 1970’s New York based upon an idea by The Rolling Stones lead singer Jagger.
It has already been confirmed that Boardwalk Empire star Bobby Cannavale will play record executive Richard Finestra, who tries to rebuild his label amid the advent of punk and disco. Wilde revealed on Twitter that she “could not be more psyched” about landing the role of Cannavale’s wife.
Scorsese will direct the pilot episode which is written by The Wolf of Wall Street collaborator Terence Winter, who will produce alongside Scorsese and Jagger, with George Mastras (Breaking Bad) serving as executive producer.
