Promos for Arrow’s Suicide Squad… featuring Harley Quinn?

Next week’s episode of Arrow sees the Suicide Squad being sent out on its first mission, and while we’ve already seen images of the team, two new promos for the episode have been released, which happens to tease the possible inclusion of a surprise member… could that be fan-favourite Batman villain Harley Quinn?

AMANDA WALLER SENDS THE SUICIDE SQUAD OUT ON THEIR FIRST MISSION — Following Slade’s (Manu Bennett) return and his promise to make good on his threat to destroy Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) loved ones, Oliver focuses all his energy on preparing for battle with his former friend. Sarah (Caity Lotz) tries to help but, fearing for her safety, Oliver pushes her away. Meanwhile, Diggle (David Ramsey) is recruited by Amanda Waller (guest star Cynthia Addai-Robinson) and A.R.G.U.S. to stop a warlord (guest star Lee Majdoub) he knew from his time in Afghanistan. Always the solider, Diggle agrees to help. However, he’s not prepared when Amanda introduces him to the rest of the team – Deadshot (guest star Michael Rowe), Bronze Tiger (guest star Michael Jai White) and Shrapnel (guest star Sean Maher), all criminals he and Arrow helped put away. Lyla (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) defends the team and explains the world is a complicated place, but Diggle isn’t sure he agrees. When the mission takes a dangerous turn, Diggle is forced to make a difficult decision.

‘Suicide Squad’ airs next Wednesday.

Soooo…. Batman’s gonna grow up and fight crime… And all his classic villains will be in nursing homes??? All the great developments for this show, and no POW BAM. And then Affleck fights Superman villains. That’s a SMACK I’m the faces of DC fans.

    • SonoftheMountain

Calm down Negative Nancy. Pretty sure the Gotham series will not be set at the same time as Arrow and Flash

      • The Walking Cuban

I know it, Positive Patsy, but man a show about batman vs everybody in his canon could lead to BVS. Kid straight to Affleck vs Darkseid? We’ll never see clayface or killer Krock, unless they’re fighting Gordon and Bullock. That don’t have the same ring as Batman and Robin.

        • LalaLoser

yeah SHUT THE FUCK UP bro

          • The Walking Cuban

You wouldn’t tell me that in person and I wasn’t talking to you. And I won’t respond to anything else you say. PEACE

        • wat

I agree. DC really should’ve had a prequel series to offer some nice backstory on Affleck’s Batman. At LEAST a miniseries (5-7 episodes).

          • The Walking Cuban

For real, I mean, what’s the tie in? Or does he just put on the mask on the last episode, and bam, he’s Ben Affleck’s movie Batman? Come on.

          • wat

Well clearly the series isn’t related to BvS but it would’ve been an excellent way to build even more hype for the movie. Showing Ben Affleck’s Batman/Bruce Wayne (NOT as a child) build up his respective status as both a billionaire and vigilante in Gotham before his appearance in Superman’s life would’ve been an excellent idea.

Then again… We have to remember that casting BEN AFFLECK for a TV series would be incredibly expensive, not to mention producing episodes that even come anywhere close to the quality of Man of Steel. Sigh.

          • wat

But I’m not a fan of Gotham’s premise either. Every villain is suddenly a lot older than Bruce Wayne? That’s lame. So the cops fight the bad guys? Bleh.

          • The Walking Cuban

Exactly. A 20’s Ben Affleck look alike could have tied in to the movies. Instead we get 2 and a Half GothamPD BLUE.

          • wat

I just don’t see how useful normal cops can be against the menagerie of peculiar villains Batman has. Sure it’d show adversity and character development, but the police would still realistically be pretty damn useless.

          • The Walking Cuban

Right? Or why have batman at all if regs guys can handle em anyway?

          • wat

Exactly. Plus when he DOES become Batman, who will there be left to fight?

          • The Walking Cuban

Hahaha he’ll be huntin em down at old folks’ homes. Arkham? Sir, this is Shady Acres Retirement Village. Now please take the mask off, because of you we have to change Mr. Cobblepot.

          • wat

            Haha.

Go watch something else then. Or don’t watch. Take your negativity and go away.

Who said anything about Batman? Pretty sure the article was about the next Arrow episode possibly including Harley Quinn as part of the Suicide Squad.
