  • Oh fuck I hope they won’t fuck it up as badly as the TV series and the last two movie, fuck.

    • Andy_Dufresnes_Awesome_Posters

Actually, the TV series got really good at the second season. After seeing these pics, I look forward to rewatching T3 & T:S! How old is Sarah Conner in this? Like, 15? Jai Courtney looks weird with hair! Arnold is an old terminator? WTF, killing franchises one crappy movie at a time!

      • jeff mackaloy

you look forward to rewatching T4? If i could drink bleach and shake my head to remove the memory of seeing it the first time… I would.

        • Neven

In my opinion, Salvation is a masterpiece compared to T3.

      • Anakin Skywalker

……from the information surrounding this movie..its been more or less hinted at that it will be a re-imagining of the franchise that takes place in James Cameron’s terminator universe.
This means it will not take terminator 3 and 4 into account as canon most likely.
Point being..you should watch Terminator 1 and 2 again…if your intention is to understand the immediate relevance.
You can go ahead and watch 3 and 4, but you are… um missing the point…..of this movie.

3 and 4 are all future “what ifs” anyway’s that either play with or contradict the original material. This is a throwback to JC canon, that hopefully does something to better flesh out the stories in T 1 and 2.

        • Andy_Dufresnes_Awesome_Posters

Nope. Meant what I said. I’m stating that these pics look so bad that it makes T3 and TS look good. Jaws is a classic. STID….not so much.

          • Anakin Skywalker

lol Kind of looks like an episode of scrubs but I am going to check it out anyway’s, Arnold fan for life.

          • Andy_Dufresnes_Awesome_Posters

Yes, I’ve seen the first two, I’ve been around awhile. I just think this is unnecessary and the studios are once again trolling for $$$. It would be nice if someone would make a Terminator movie worthy of being called a Terminator movie. Just bringing Arnold back doesn’t mean it will be good, just look at T3. These actors just don’t look the part but, like T:S, I’ll reserve my judgement until it comes out.

          • Mace Windu

I’m actually interested in the future of the franchise now that I have heard the rights owners have used James Cameron as advisor to the film(s.) From what I’ve gathered Arnold is going to go on being the star of the movies, because JC shared many of his ideas with the people involved with the possible genesis trilogy.

Even if it is total crap; I’m not as detached as I was with 3 and 4; they seemed to want to get as far away from the original concepts as possible..almost laughably; apart from being decent robot/action flicks.
I’m not big on this new director but I am fairly appreciative of the fact “if it is fact” that they actually care for its roots, t1 and t2. All it says is it might be good or it might be bad, or it might be bad in addition to shi##ing all over 2 legendary movies.

I’m digging these pictures (replace DOT with . )

More than the ones here; this looks like some weird episode of scrubs…I can’t really get behind Jai unless they make some real effort to make it work.
I’d complain about Sarah.but its hard to when shes just so darn cute.
I’m excited about the potential the t-800 has story wise.

    • Dev1359

What the fuck are you talking about? The Sarah Connor Chronicles was amazing, it was a worthy sequel to T2 and pretty much retconned the shitty last two movies in my mind.

      • MasterElwood

exactly! I still cannot watch Raising Hope without thinking about John Henry…

    • Turo Orvel

WTF? The TV-show was awesome and up there with the first movies.

    • Anakin Skywalker

The only thing horribly wrong with this picture is Jai Courtney; Kyle Reese grew up surviving war in an apocalyptic wasteland where I am sure the nicest meal was a cock roach buffet. Here it looks like he’s been benching 400 lbs on a strict protein diet/ 4000 calories per day for a few years.
They may as well have cast Ronnie Coleman.

      • Lolz

I think there might be one more problem with casting Ronnie.

        • Master Yoda

What problem there is? Ronnie would be an excellent choice for Kyle Reese would he not?

    • Ruby

i have hope for this only because the line of talented young actors on it would never accept a trashy script…still i will keep my fingers crossed that it wont be a total failure

    • tastybanana

idiot, the series was great. dont bash it because you have no appreciation or knowledge of real aesthetics when it comes to directing.

  • Anakin Skywalker

Its baby making time! (SC and KR)

Not sure how I feel looking at Arnold..his hair looks blonde in that lighting; he looks great though…I was worried they were going to play INTO the age thing way too much and make him look way older than necessary.
If anything they have wound back the clock a few years, still looks big too…not far off the t3 mark, and he looked more than menacing enough then.
I am way too excited, I always get my hopes up for this franchise.

    My theory on this scene…

Sarah Connor: “Kyle, lets make a baby.”
    Kyle Reese: “Okay”
    T-800: “I will stand guard.”
    Sarah Connor: “Don’t look!”
T-800: “I am analysing your chances at fertility. Conception imminent.”

….fade to black..9 months later. T-800 has been hiding with them in a warehouse.
Kyle has died since last scene.
Sarah is having contractions. T-1000 is trying to get inside the building.

    T-800: “You. Are. Dilated.”

Punches Sarah Connor in uterus, baby flies out, T-800 football grips baby under arm.
As baby exits womb T-1000 busts down wall and a rocket flies between Sarah and the T-800, severing the umbilical cord; T-800 opens time travel portal and quarterbacks baby into it.

    Fade to black.

    Sarah’s fate is left uncertain.

I would watch the fuck out of that movie.

    • MasterElwood

You forgot the most important part.

Reese to T-800: What shall i do?

T-800 to Reese: FUCK HER ASSHOLE!

  • Andy_Dufresnes_Awesome_Posters

    That looks awful…

    • SubSumeYou

      Sigh…sure looks it.

  • Anakin Skywalker

The question we all want answered…

    • Strong Enough

don’t you have younglings to kill?

      • Master Yoda

If into the security recordings you go….only pain will you find.

      • Mace Windu

I sense a plot to destroy the Jedi. The Dark Side of the Force surrounds the Chancellor.

  • SubSumeYou

    It’s over.

  • Looks like T:SCC all over again! There goes whats left of the franchise!

  • ImtheguyOK

Why is Kyle Reese fucking huge?

Cue the nerd avalanche of unwarranted negativity and cynicism… AAAAAAAND… GO!!!

  • darkneal

Why is sarah connor 14?! Arnie looks cool but seems like miscasting to me with the 2 leads. I got a bad feeling bout this…

    • political animal

Because there is a bunch of time travel shit going on. The evil terminator is trying to kill Sarah Connor at a younger age. My 2 centz.

  • Dan Hitchman

Oh, god this looks like it’s going to yet another f–k up (that would make three then). I have no faith in the director or the writers they brought on board. Without Cameron’s input, it’s doomed.

    • Mace Windu

Actually thats the reason I tuned into the production of this movie,..as it seems Cameron does have input for once..there’s a bit of recent news about it you put the right words into google. Some interesting direct quotes from Cameron himself if you believe them to be real.

      • Dan Hitchman

He talked to Arnold in private a couple years ago, but that was before the producers changed, Paramount got hold of it, etc. etc. It boiled down to Cameron advising Arnold not to do another film unless it focused mainly on the T-800 character and fleshed out his story. Doesn’t seem to be the case. If mid-60’s Arnold is here because of a circular rift in time, why not Linda Hamilton? Why not Michael Biehn? Why not Robert Patrick too?

T2’s co-writer, William Wisher, had stated he had an idea for a real Terminator 3, but no one seemed to listen.

I’d much rather they had totally forgotten 3&4 and just done one third-act conclusion with direct Cameron support and most of the original cast (Furlong wouldn’t be joining in, of course, due to personal problems). Their ages could easily be integrated into the storyline without some silly excuse of: oh, it’s the same Terminator (but how??), and he ages like any other man. That was never a part of the Terminator life cycle. The body can rot due to untreated tissue damage, but the age of the visage is set in stone and modeled after a human template from Skynet’s database or from a prisoner. If it gets another power cell, who knows how long it could function…

        • Mace Windu 2.0

Totally; to me 3 and 4 exist only as future possibilities and are separate stories not definitively attached to the universe established in 2..and arguably 1. I like the idea of a time jumping narrative with spots that run parallel to the time periods of 3 and 4, basically establishing an alternate timeline where the events are different; just so we can by option kind of ignore 3 and 4 if we wanted too.

I agree with the big third act with Cameron involved; would have been legendary…and while he says the story had been told in t2 and to some affect it had been told in the first terminator..debunking the need for a second; so I think he was just sour because he lost his baby. Technically not even the time travel theorys of 1 and 2 match but I don’t really care because cinematic-ally I attach them as parts of each other in the Cameron Terminator universe.

I think the opportunity to use original cast members outside of Arnold has kind of passed…though that could easily be argued. Since this new movie is going pretty far back into the past..it would be right to assume they are too old to use.

It would have made more sense to continue their plot in the first place after T2..

It might be silly to say now…but I almost believe Arnold and his character deserve hordes more respect..I say this because while hes obviously the franchise tent pole hes basically the only remaining actor and that alone prompts need for greater depth into the t-800 legacy. AS might have limited range..but if this franchise is going to die..have it not unlike the scene in t2 with Arnold being lowered into lava.

I must say they at least appear to be attempting to pay homage to the first movies..which in my book prompts my interest..even if its a little too late.

          Anyhow.. http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/76332/james-cameron-explains-his-involvement-terminator-genesis#axzz33YPp4lgH

  • kareem

sounds like “Terminator:days of future past” to me. i hope its not awful

  • Joe

FUCK YOU ALL!!! This will easily be the BEST Film of 2015!!! And ALL things Terminator related are Masterpieces!!! Fuck Everyone who disagrees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mace Windu

It would be cool if a fully fleshed t-800 shut down somewhere to wait for John Connor to show up; and just like recorded footage of a flower growing..it would show the flesh of the robot ageing over many years in a seamless clip.

  • Kyle Vesa

These are poor pictures to judge a movie by. Id rather be smart and wait to see a trailer before even thinking of judging this movie. The rest of you kids should chill and wait to see a freakin trailer first.
