Millennium Falcon and X-Wing set photos from Star Wars: Episode VII arrive online

The guys over at TMZ are very busy at the moment as they have managed to follow up yesterday’s photos from the set of Star Wars: Episode VII with a new and far more exciting batch.

How more exciting? Well, it doesn’t get bigger than the Millennium Falcon, Han Solo’s trusty YT-1300 freighter.

But wait! There’s more! Not only can you see the Falcon partially complete, but further images show the coolest star fighter to ever exist ,the X-Wing. Is Luke still using the by now surely outdated design? Those who know their expanded universe will tell you that the X-Wing design was superseded by the E-Wing, but many pilots continued to upgrade their X’s to such an extent that E’s were never fully taken on-board.

Head over to TMZ to check them out.

That ship may look very similar to an X-wing but it’s 2(not 4) engines either side of the main hull say otherwise. Maybe it’s an upgraded XJ7 X-wing that are talked about in the EU?

    • SuperDuperChrisCooper

That’s a good point. Since EU doesn’t seem to count so much anymore, it’s feasible they’ve taken the X-Wing and gone off on their own. This could be the outcome of an update to X-Wings or their replacement?
