I’ve read it, and unfortunately it is lame.

I’m fed up with Paramount and MGM’s inability to produce a G.I. Joe movie worthy of the title. It’s simple. Take a cue from the Marvel CInematic Universe, take a look at the first 60 issues of Marvel’s Greatest American Hero, ignore the stupid Flint/Lady J focus of the cartoons, and do it already.

I have to say I thought the last one was a step in the right direction (far from great, but much better than the first). Needed more Cobra though.

Better, but hated it too. It’s too late. The first one screwed it all up.

Snake Eyes doesn’t talk because of a vow…not an injury sustained while saving a comrade? Way to screw up a serious dramatic theme.

The second one had no choice but to fix that hack director Stephen Sommers origin screw ups by killing all of them off and sort of rebooting it. The whole thing is a disaster.

A trilogy, removed from our reality, showing the conflict between the G.I. Joe team with a minor theme relationship between Snake eyes and Storm Shadow as mystery unravels is the way to go. How hard is that? How hard is it to admit that you are a bad director with horrible vision and that you need the source material to help you create?

FU Sommers. Stick to Brendan Fraser films.

Yeah they were in a difficult position after the first one, which was an utter abomination. Can’t really see the third one being any better than Retaliation either, seeing as they are stuck with the characters they have and universe they’ve created. But I’m in total agreement about Stephen Sommers. The guy is terrible.

Hate….his….guts. Apparently so do the studios.

Oh, is that why they cast (miscast) Encino Man as the iconic Sgt. Slaughter? Dumb da dumb dumb dumb.

  • Razorsfury

Why does it look like it was made in the early 80’s? Some of the newer Transformer comic volumes had 10 times the quality.

  • Razorsfury

Seriously, it looks like an amateur drew it.
