Comic book movies are all the rage these days, but we forget that not all of them are about superheroes. We’re seeing a ton of other books and graphic novels getting adapted as well, and now have one more to add to the list. According to Ain’t It Cool News, Valiant Entertainment’s awesome Archer & Armstrong series is headed to the big screen.
The film is said to adhere close to the recent Fred Van Lente/Clayton Henry run in the books, which focuses on the offbeat adventures of Archer – a sheltered young man raised by a religious sect, who possesses the ability to mimic any fighting style he sees – and Armstrong – an immortal drunkard “with a penchant for chaos, mayhem, and inebriated fisticuffs.”
So… where do I buy my ticket?
The film could also be the lead in for a Valiant interconnected movie universe, using characters from books like Eternal Warrior, Shadowman and Bloodshot (which is getting a big screen adaptation from X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn).
