It looks like Dexter star Michael C. Hall is set for a return to the small screen, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that he has signed on to appear in God Fearing Man, an unproduced drama from legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick.
Hall will star as Herbery Emerson Wilson, a Canadian minister who became one of the most successful safecrackers and American bank robbers in the early 20th century. The project is being produced by eOne as a miniseries that will be shopped around to networks, and is being adapted from Kubrick’s original script by Stephen R. Clark.
“Kubrick’s God Fearing Man presents a larger-than-life story with a complicated protagonist who undergoes a radical transformation. We knew we had to secure a leading man with the immense talent and charisma needed to carry the project, and we were dedicated to putting in the diligent time and effort to find the perfect fit,” said MichaelRosenberg, eOne Television’s executive vice president of U.S. scripted television. “We cannot be more pleased to have Michael on board, who has time and again demonstrated an uncanny ability to portray captivating characters who must grapple with fundamental internal struggles.”
