After all of the excitement over last week’s action-packed international trailer, Paramount Pictures has continued its Star Trek Into Darkness promotional push by releasing three new images from the hotly-anticipated sci-fi sequel. Arriving via Empire Online, the first two images feature Kirk, Spock and Uhura (along with what looks to be a dead Klingon?), while the third shows the crew of the Enterprise surrounding a mysterious Starfleet craft (or weapon, maybe) designated MC-9321.
Star Trek Into Darkness is directed by J.J. Abrams with Chris Pine (Kirk), Zoe Saldana (Uhura), Zachary Quinto (Spock), Karl Urban (Bones), Simon Pegg (Scotty), John Cho (Sulu), Anton Yelchin (Checkov) and Bruce Greenwood (Pike) all returning from the 2009 reboot and Alice Eve (Men in Black 3), Noel Clarke (Doctor Who) and Peter Weller (RoboCop) joining Benedict Cumberbatch’s (Sherlock) mysterious bad guy John Harrison as newcomers to the cast. The film opens in the UK on May 9th ahead of a North American release on May 17th.
