Thursday Thorsday, so that means we have a couple of new character posters for Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World, which is set to hit UK cinemas in just under four weeks from now. This week it’s the turn of Fandral, with Chuck star Zachary Levi taking over the role from Josh Dallas, along with his Warriors Three buddy Volstagg, once again played by Ray Stevenson; check them out below, and click either poster for bigger versions….
If you’ve missed any of the previous character posters, you can see them here, here, here and here. And that’s not all the Thor goodness for today, as IGN has also posted the following featurette, which includes focusses on the various locations used during production of the latest Phase Two offering….
“Thor: The Dark World continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the
Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from
a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of
Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore
order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful
Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with
an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on
his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him
with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.“
Thor: The Dark World is directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones) and also features returning Thor stars
Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Odin (Anthony Hopkins), Rene Russo
(Frigga), Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif), Stellan Skarsgård
(Erik Selvig), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Tadanobu
Asano (Hogun) and Kat Dennings (Darcy
Lewis) alongside Marvel newcomers Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who) as
Malekith the Accursed and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) as Algrim the Strong / Kurse. The film opens in the UK on October 30th and in North America on November 8th.
