Flickering Myth TV is launching tomorrow!
You might have noticed from our trendy new logo that Flickering Myth is going through somewhat of an evolution at the moment. Since our inception in 2009, we’ve grown enormously in both writing staff and readership. From initially being a movie blog, we now cover television, comic books, interviews, competitions and anything else geek culture related on which we can get our mitts – and we couldn’t have done it without you beautiful bunch of film fanatics. And now we’re taking the next step: relaunching our YouTube channel with bespoke video content: made by us, for you.
We’ve joined forces with Trident Vision Media, the new media specialists behind the national UK television shows Wrestle Talk TV and BWC British Wrestling Round-Up to create ‘Flickering Myth TV,’ which launches with our debut video – the first in our new Movie Myths series, that investigates whether there is a real-life time traveler in the background of an old Charlie Chaplin film – tomorrow! That’s Tuesday 24th June. Exciting stuff.
We’ll surely be bombarding you all with tweets, posts and carrier pigeons about it tomorrow, but to be the first notified about the video, head over here to subscribe to the Flickering Myth TV YouTube channel. Trust us, it’ll be well worth it.

TRIDENT VISION MEDIA AND FLICKERING MYTH PARTNER UP TO LAUNCH A BRAND NEW, EXCITING YOUTUBE CHANNEL SHOWCASING THE BEST IN MOVIE AND GEEK CULTURE
LONDON, England, June 23, 2014 – Trident Vision Media (the new media specialists behind national UK television shows Wrestle Talk TV and BWC British Wrestling Round-Up) has now formed a super-team with www.FlickeringMyth.com to relaunch the exciting new YouTube channel ‘Flickering Myth TV’ on Tuesday 24th JUNE, 2014.
www.FlickeringMyth.com was established in 2009 and covers all aspects of the movie, TV and comic book industry, with news, reviews, interviews, articles, opinions and much, much more. The site is one of the UK’s leading entertainment blogs, attracting over a million unique visitors each month, totaling around 25 million page views a year. The partnership will include serialized video content, news shows and celebrity interviews and begins with the first in the ‘Movie Myths’ series being released tomorrow, all recorded at Trident Vision Media Studios.
“We are delighted to be partnering up with TVM to launch Flickering Myth TV in order to bring some great video content to our readers, and are thrilled to be working alongside Alex Shane and everyone at Trident Vision Media on this venture,” said Gary Collinson, Editor-in-Chief of Flickering Myth.
Trident Vision Media have become specialists in building YouTube content into a large multimedia brand. Beginning their Wrestle Talk TV programme which started online in late 2011, the show rapidly gained momentum and was signed to national television on Sky within just 6 months. This saw the WTTV brand grow to a million viewers a month across all platforms, making it the largest wrestling product in Europe. A Hindi version of the show is also currently being made for the Indian market. As a result of this success, TVM then launched a second television show in 2013, BWC British Wrestling Round-Up, which saw British wrestling return to national TV for the first time in over a quarter of a century, making world headlines in the process including on the BBC World Service and UK national newspapers.
Trident Vision Media Founder and WTTV/BWC Creator Alex Shane said “Wrestle Talk TV has given us at TVM incredible experience in building a large fan following on YouTube from scratch, which was then expanded onto television. Partnering with Flickering Myth which already has a huge audience for its website, made up largely of the same 18-35 male demographic WTTV currently has, makes this a perfect fit for us. We are all incredibly excited by the potential this project truly has.”
