Despite a release somewhat marred with mediocre review scores and some truly terrifying bugs (they have no faces!), Assassin’s Creed: Unity has performed well at the UK game charts, coming in at second place.
The game was unable to unseat the behemoth that is Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (which just recently usurped FIFA 15 after a massive stint at the top) but it only missed out on the top spot by a tiny 16,000 sales. That’s after Call of Duty was reported to have had a 77% drop in sales.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity has done very well though, surpassing the launch sales of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, despite Black Flag launching to a considerably larger install base.
Over on Xbox One, Halo: The Master Chief Collection entered the UK chart at number 3. It’s impressive for an exclusive title and is the highest launch for a Microsoft-published Xbox One title and the seventh biggest by any publisher.
Here are the top 10 games in the chart:
- Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
- Assassin’s Creed: Unity
- Halo: The Master Chief Collection
- FIFA 15
- Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
- Assassin’s Creed: Rogue
- Minecraft: Playstation Edition
- Pro Evolution Soccer 2015
- World of Warcraft; Warlords of Draenor
