As part of the ongoing launch anniversary celebrations for the Xbox One, Microsoft are giving away the spooky indie game Limbo. Gamers who played their Xbox One during its launch weekend will receive the free game.
Speaking to Eurogamer, a Microsoft spokesperson said: “We’re looking forward to launching Limbo on Xbox One. As a thank you to our earliest adopters, fans who played their Xbox One the first weekend of launch received early, free access to the game. Limbo will also be available for purchase via the Xbox Game Store soon.”
Limbo was critically acclaimed upon its initial release in 2010 on the Xbox 360. While it later released on other platforms, the game’s spiritual sequel, Inside, will also release on Xbox One first.
The codes have been sent out as part of the first anniversary celebrations. The Xbox One launched on November 22nd last year in a number of territories and Microsoft have been celebrating by giving away a number of freebies.
