Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have already passed the 3 million sales mark after only 3 days on sale – and they aren’t even out in Europe yet.
According to Famitsu, 1,534,593 of those sales have come from Japan. Pokemon X and Y managed to sell 4 million copies in 2 days, however that saw a simultaneous worldwide release. Expect to see sales numbers jump up again when Pokemon launches in Europe on Friday.
Nintendo also revealed sales figures for some of its other recent Pokemon titles – Pokemon X and Y have now sold more than 12 million copies worldwide, while the most recent remakes, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver have sold an impressive 12.7 million copies worldwide.
Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are the highly anticipated remakes of the third generation of Pokemon games, Ruby and Sapphire. The game is set in the Hoenn region, and sees legendary Pokemon Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza return.
The games release in Europe on Friday, 28th November.
