That’s right – after months of speculation, DC have finally announced the main cast for their supervillain team-up movie Suicide Squad. Comic book favourites Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Boomerang and Joker will all appear. Which is why we appear so serious.
In other supervillain news, the main foe of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has been uncovered and the title and cast for the new James Bond movie has been announced, along with a mighty find automobile (spoiler: it doesn’t double up as a submarine). SUICIDE SQUAD
…will be directed by David Ayer (Fury), with Will Smith (Hancock) taking on the role of Deadshot, Cara Delevingne (Pan) will play Enchantress, Jai Courtney (Terminator: Genisys) will take on the part of Boomerang, Tom Hardy (The Drop) will lead the group as Rick Flagg, Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) will be The Joker and Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) will play Harley Quinn. The movie is set for release on August 5th, 2016.
BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE
…hits theaters on March 25th, 2016 with Zack Snyder directing a cast that includes returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Harry Lennix (General Swanwick) alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) as Alfred Pennyworth and Jena Malone (Sucker Punch), Holly Hunter (The Piano), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
JAMES BOND: SPECTRE
…Sam Mendes will direct a cast that includes the returning Daniel Craig as James Bond, Rory Kinnear as Tanner, Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny and Ralph Fiennes as M, alongside newcomers Andrew Scott (Pride) as Denbigh, Lea Seydoux (Blue is the Warmest Colour) as Madeleine Swann, Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) as Mr. Hinx, Monica Bellucci (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice) as Lucia Sciarra and Christoph Waltz in an unnamed role, which is thought to be Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Spectre is released in the UK on October 23rd 2015 in the UK and November 6th 2015 in the States.
