Flickering Myth TV sat down with the star of new submarine thriller Black Sea, Jude Law (The Grand Budapest Hotel), to chat about all things under-watery. Apart from mermaids. There wasn’t enough time for mermaids.
Here’s a brief synopsis of the movie:
“A suspenseful adventure thriller directed by Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald, centering on a rogue submarine captain (two-time Academy Award nominee Jude Law) who pulls together a misfit crew to go after a sunken treasure rumored to be lost in the depths of the Black Sea. As greed and desperation take control onboard their claustrophobic vessel, the increasing uncertainty of the mission causes the men to turn on each other to fight for their own survival.”
Black Sea is set for release on December 5th in the UK and January 23rd 2015 in the States, with a cast that also includes Scoot McNairy (Gone Girl), David Threlfall (Shameless), Jodie Whittaker (Broadchurch), Grigoriy Dobrygin (A Most Wanted Man), Karl Davies (Game of Thrones), Michael Smiley (Luther) and Ben Mendelsohn (Exodus: Gods and Kings).
