The resume of former Naughty Dog developer Michael Knowland may have accidentally revealed The Last of Us 2.
Knowland’s resume on his LinkedIn profile seems to reveal that Naughty Dog had produced prototype designs for use in a sequel to their critically acclaimed post apocalyptic survival-horror earlier this year. Knowland was the lead character artist at Naughty Dog.
Knowland joined Naughty Dog in October 2011 and had worked on The Last of Us, as well as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Currently, Knowland is a senior character artist at Avalanche Studios and is working on Just Cause 3. He left Naughty Dog in April of this year.
His departure from the studio followed on from a number of other high profile departures, including writer Amy Hennig. Last February, The Last of Us creative director Neil Druckmann said in a Reddit AMA that there was a “50/50” chance of a sequel. Naughty Dog has since revealed it is working on two “brand-new experiences”, one of which is Uncharted 4.
