Microsoft introduced a promotional pricing for the Xbox One over the Christmas period, generally lowering the price of all bundles by about $50, which appears to have helped the sales numbers. However, it seems that promotional pricing is soon to finish.
The current price for the Xbox One, $350 USD will end on January 3rd and revert back to the original price of $400 USD. This means that the bundles, including the Assassin’s Creed: Unity bundle, will return to their original price point. Retailers can still of course have their own promotions to lower the price, as some are already offering additional savings with the already lower price point.
It’s currently quite a good time to be an Xbox One owner, as the competitive pricing has helped it outsell the PS4 for the first time in recent months. Also, the Halo 5: Guardians beta began yesterday and picking up a copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection will get you into the beta.
