Yesterday Marvel released the first trailer for Ant-Man [watch it here], the studio’s second movie of 2015 after Avengers: Age of Ultron, and now we have some new promotional images of Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang both in and out of the Ant-Man suit, as well as some images and ‘Ant’s Eye’ concept art…
Meanwhile, Corey Stoll has revealed some details about his character, the villain Darren Cross, who will be suiting up as Yellowjacket: “[Darren Cross] was this child prodigy that Hank Pym nurtured. He started to become aware of this fabled technology that can shrink people to half an inch. Now he’s discovered his own version of that technology-which has a psychotic effect on people if they use it too much.”
As for Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang, director Peyton Reed states: “He’s not used to being a hero. He’s more like George Clooney in Ocean’s Eleven. He’s a guy trying to create a new life for himself and find redemption,” with Kevin Feige adding that: “We wanted Scott Lang to have made mistakes that cost him dearly. But we wanted the audience to be rooting for him despite that. Paul Rudd can do almost anything and you’re still charmed by him.”
The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man. Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats.
