Following Nintendo’s quarterly financial report, they also released an update on the release windows for upcoming Wii U and 3DS games. Two games stood out – the new Fire Emblem on 3DS, and Mario Maker, the level creation tool for the Wii U.
The new Fire Emblem, which has yet to be officially named, is supposedly being released Summer 2015 in Japan, which would indicate the game is further along in development than previously thought. While Nintendo have played it safe with the amount of time needed to localise the game and prepare it for a Western release, it’s possible the game could hit Western shores this year.
The other major change is Mario Maker, the level creation game on the Wii U. Where it was scheduled for the first half of 2015 originally, the new release window simply says 2015. This could imply the game has been pushed back into the second half of the year, though nothing is known for certain.
