This Is England ’90 officially wrapped up filming two days ago and according to various cast and crew it was the most rewarding and intense shoot to date.
Thomas Turgoose who plays Shaun posted a cast picture on his Instagram account with the caption “I have just ended the most life changing job I could not have dreamt about in my wildest dreams. These people have changed my life and I have made life long friends and what I class as family. Such an emotional wrap.”
Andrew Shim and Vicky McClure – who play Milky and Lol – and a few members of the production crew all took to Twitter to share their thoughts on wrapping up filming:
In addition to finish filming on the third and final instalment of the mini-series director Shane Meadows also released his short documentary The Living Room about long time friend and musical collaborator Gavin Clark (formally of Clayhill) exclusively on Noisey.com
The accompanying article claims that This Is England ’90 will air sometime in September and is “unlike anything that has come before.” Speaking to the website Meadows said, “It’s four episodes set over four seasons. It starts in the Summer, Spring, and the whole Madchester thing kicking off with the Roses and the Mondays, going into the raves and the festivals. What’s nice is that it looks at the younger members as much as it does—it doesn’t just follow Lol and Woody and Shaun—some of the younger crew start getting into the raves; the whole E-generation stuff like that.”
