Happy Friday the 13th everyone!
It was speculated last month that Crystal Lake’s most infamous slasher Jason Voorhees would be appearing in the upcoming Mortal Kombat X. And now, on today of all days, it has been officially confirmed by Warner Bros. Interactive.

Introducing the horror icon from the Friday the 13th films, Jason Voorhees, a playable character available in the Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack.
Jason Voorhees will be available to download in Kombat Pack which also contains two “Klassic Kombatants” and another guest character, that may or may not be Spawn or Predator. The pack will cost $29.99. Those who purchase the Kombat Pack will also receive the Samurai Pack, which contains three new character skins: Ronin Kensi, Samurai Shinnok, and Jingu Kitana as well as an accompanying skin pack with each playable character. The Kombat Pack will also give its owners early access to future DLC content prior to it going on sale individually.
For those in the Americas, the Kombat Pack with Jason is included in the Mortal Kombat X Kollector’s Edition.
Those who played the last Mortal Kombat game will remember that Jason’s nemesis Freddy Krueger was a featured character.
