With Avengers: Age of Ultron almost upon us, Marvel’s focus now shifts to its next big-screen adventure, with Captain America: Civil War set to go before the cameras next month.Today, thanks to Collider, a short synopsis for the film (if you didn’t figure the plot out before) has been released as part of a casting call put out for the film.
Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies..
Anthony Russo and Joe Russo return to the director’s chairs after their huge success with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, while the duo are also thought to be the first-choices to direct Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 and Part 2, although nothing official has been announced as of yet.
Captain America: Civil War is set for release on April 29th 2016 in the UK and May 6th in the States, with a cast that includes Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier), Frank Grillo (Crossbones) and Daniel Bruhl (Rush).
