During their E3 conference on Monday, EA revealed Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, a reboot of their first-person parkour series featuring main character, Faith. The game is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC on February 26th, 2016.
EA showed a rather fancy-looking trailer for the game, which is supposedly going to show Faith’s origin story. The developers have also removed one of the most controversial aspects of the previous game – guns.
Speaking in an interview with Polygon, senior producer Sara Jansson said:”In Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, you won’t be using any guns at all. We’ve completely removed that aspect of the game. You can’t even pick them up.”
Interestingly, keeping Faith in motion now also makes her impervious to bullets, likely to keep the flow going. “When she stitches together move after move without failing and keeps her momentum going, she’s actually invulnerable to bullets,” Jansson explained.
