Hello Kitty is a giant name in Japan and actually quite a huge success throughout the world. Created by Yuko Shimizu and launched in 1974 as part of the Sanrio family Hello Kitty has been a firm favourite with girls and given rise to hundreds of products and dozens upon dozens of games.
This autumn will see three new Hello Kitty games released on Nintendo systems courtesy of Bergsala Lightweight AB.
Hello Kitty and the Apron of Magic: Rhythm Cooking is a cooking challenge game set to music filled with fun mini-games specifically for the 3DS.
Hello Kitty & Friends: Rockin’ World Tour is another 3DS game and again has a rhythm based theme. This is a musical puzzle game that sees you travel around the world with your rock band completing mini games and gaining collectables.
The third game, this time for the WiiU, is Hello Kitty Kruisers. This is a racing game that sees the gamers take on the role of Kitty or her friends and race solo or with 3 friends over land, sea and air. During races players will be able to unlock extras such as outfits and vehicles.
“Never before have Sanrio fans had so much choice from their gaming, and Hello Kitty’s Wii U debut is sure to bring smiles to thousands of faces across Europe.” says Martin Defries, Managing Director of Rising Star Games, and I think that sums it up quite well.
