A new poster poster for the upcoming Texas Chain Saw Massacre prequel Leatherface has arrived online, and we have it for you here…
The new film from Lionsgate and Millennium Films “will explore the origins of the horror icon in the 1970s, and the story will begin with the Leatherface character in his teenage years. He resides in a mental institution until he joins a pack of fellow patients who all break out and go on the run from the authorities.”
Leatherface marks the eigth film in the franchise after the original Tobe Hooper film debuted in 1974, followed by sequels in 1986, 1990 and 1994, a remake in 2003, a first prequel in 2006 and a “direct” sequel in 2013. The new film stars Stephen Dorff (Blade), Lili Taylor (The Conjuring), Sam Strike (Eastenders) and Vanessa Grasse (Roboshark). Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury is direct the film.
Leatherface is due for release in 2016.
