Black Panther is set to make his big screen debut next year in Captain America: Civil War, before Chadwick Boseman reprises the role of T’Challa for the 2018 solo movie.
Speaking with Empire (via CBM), Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has been taling about the Black Panther movie, describing it as “important” and revealing that it links to the two-part Avengers: Infinity War.
“This one is important,” states Feige. “Not only do you get an unbelievable lead character, but you also get all of Wakanda which is a whole new setting and culture to explore. It’s a big geo-political action adventure that focuses on the family and royal struggle of T’Challa in Wakanda, and what is means to be a king. T’Challa’s story is very important to us as it links to the next Avengers films, which is why we brought it forward.”
Black Panther is set for release on February 16th 2018.
