On Tuesday night, Warner Bros. gave fans an exciting look at several films in the DC Extended Universe as part of a half-hour special, DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League. Much of the special was devoted to DC’s 2016 outings – Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad [watch the trailer here], but we also got a glimpse of what’s to come thanks to concept art that highlighted the other members of the Justice League – namely Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg – and the very first footage from the Wonder Woman solo film starring Gal Gadot.
Wonder Woman is currently in production under director Patty Jenkins, but the special still managed to provide an impressive amount of footage from the film, which shows Gadot in action as the Amazonian Princess (reintroducing speed-ramping into the DCEU) as well as a few glimpses of Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. There’s also a bit of interview material from Jenkins, Pine, and Gadot, and some story details provided by DC Comics Chief Creative Officer, Geoff Johns. Check it out below!
Wonder Woman will hit cinemas on June 23rd 2017 with a cast that includes Gal Gadot (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Chris Pine (Star Trek), Connie Nielsen (Gladiator), Robin Wright (House of Cards), Danny Huston (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), David Thewlis (The Theory of Everything), Ewen Bremner (Snowpiercer), Said Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In) and Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead).
