A new update for Halo 5: Guardians has seen Arena Breakout be removed from the Team Arena playlist.
The decision to remove the game mode was made in part due to community feedback, said Developer 343 Industries. The playlist now includes Slayer, CTF and Strongholds. Lead multiplayer designer Quinn DelHoyo said Arena Breakout could make a return as a weekend playlist, though nothing has been confirmed.
While 343 has not expanded on what exactly the community feedback entailed, when Arena Breakout first launched in December, the developer did say that it was a very experimental mode.
