Warner Bros. and CineConcerts have announced that a new touring concert show entitled The Harry Potter Film Concert Series will get underway in Philadelphia this June with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
Launching on June 23rd at the Mann Center in Philadelphia, the event will see a live performance of John Williams’ score by the Philadelphia Orchestra alongside the movie, projected onto a 40-foot screen. The show will then visit other orchestras, including he San Diego Symphony, Nashville Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Grand Rapids Pops, and Symphony Silicon Valley.
“Harry Potter is synonymous with excitement around the entire world, and we hope that by performing this incredible music with the full movie, audiences will enjoy returning to this world, and to the many wonderful characters and adventures that inhabit it,” states concert producer Brady Beaubien.
