After the extremely successful Closed Beta of Tom Clancy’s The Division shut its doors, there have been whispers that the upcoming Open Beta wasn’t far away. Us gamers hoped this was true, and today Ubisoft have confirmed that come the 18th February – if you’re an Xbox One owner – the Open Beta begins.
Not to fret though if you’re PS4 or Windows PC user – your Open Beta begins on the 19th February, but Xbox One players will have an exclusive 24-hour early access. Everyone will however get the ability to preload the content from the February 16th.
Along with this Ubisoft has released their latest trailer highlighting the main factions roaming the virus ridden streets of New York.
The Open Beta will see included an all new story mission not seen in the Closed Beta for players to explore. Players that take the time to download and play the Open Beta will also receive an in-game reward which will unlock within the full game.
Tom Clancy’s The Division takes place weeks after a devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City on Black Friday. One by one, basic services fail and in only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, an autonomous unit of tactical agents leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, is activated to save society. Team up with other players to investigate the source of the virus, protect civilians from dangerous factions, and reclaim the city from the overwhelming turmoil.
