The Defenders TV Podcast takes a sidestep to review Deadpool…
It’s time for our Deadpool Movie Podcast as the loud funny one, the fanboy who finds the Easter eggs and the editor who knits the rambling into a coherent podcast return to review the verified blockbuster that is Deadpool. Although no one ever reads show notes we still spend twenty or thirty minutes carefully crafting our show notes so we don’t spoil anything about the film if someone casually reads it. All we’re trying to get you to do is press the play button and send us some feedback. If you want to do that just send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Deadpool Movie Podcast Synopsis
A former Special Forces operative turned mercenary, Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), meets the love of his life, Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), a stripper with a heart of gold. As they repeatedly hit it off their new found sexy love is hit by the tragic news of Wade’s terminal illness. As he desperately seeks a way to cure his cancer to be with Vanessa he is offered a way out by a “Recruiter” (Jed Rees) which he accepts. At an unnamed facility he is subjected to a rogue experiment by the mutant Ajax (Ed Skrein) that leaves him scarred and disfigured but with accelerated healing powers. On his escape he heads back to Sister Margaret’s bar for a stiff drink and a chat with his favourite barman, Weasel (T.J. Miller), as Wade adopts his alter ego Deadpool and sets upon revenge against Ajax all in the name of love.
