Telltale’s anticipated Batman game has officially been called Batman – The Telltale Series and will be released this summer. Not much else is known as of yet, but you can most likely expect an actual release date at E3 next week.
Telltale’s series will explore the consequences being Batman has on Bruce Wayne and vice versa. Unlike previous Batman games Telltale will allow players to approach a situation as Bruce Wayne or Batman, offering different choices for each one but having consequences for both of them. Batman’s nightly activities will also shape how Gotham looks during the day as Bruce Wayne and which criminals Batman faces throughout the game.
Though Batman has a large supporting cast, players can expect the focus to be strictly on Batman rather than a look at his relationships with Robin, Batgirl, etc. Telltale is playing close to the chest when it comes to Batman’s rogue’s gallery. They haven’t revealed which villains will appear in the game, but more news on that can also be expected at E3.
