Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s third DLC pack, titled Descent, is due for release on 12th July on Playstation 4 with Xbox One due later. Descent will feature 4 new multiplayer maps and a new zombies experience for fans of the Origins storyline.
This latest DLC will include 4 unique multiplayer maps that will take players around the world into some pretty strange settings. These maps include:
- Empire – Empire is a re-imagining of the classic fan favourite Black Ops 2 medium sized map, Raid, and takes place in a recreated Roman Villa.
- Cryogen – This map is an isolated compound in the middle of the Dead Sea where the world’s most dangerous criminals are frozen in isolation. This small circular map is ideal for wall running attacks.
- Berserk – This is one of the more surreal maps and will see players fight for control of a central bridge in a Viking village frozen in time. This medium sized map consists of rocky outcrops and tight chokepoints.
- Rumble – Players will battle through a stadium where giant robots battle. This is a medium sized map that funnels high speed combat into the central arena.
Descent’s new zombies map, Gorod Krovi, continues the Origins saga and takes players into the Stalingrad of an alternate universe where players must face swarms of mechanised zombie infantry and avoid attacks from flying dragons. New zombie splatting weapons will also be available to use by players.
Descent will be available on Playstation 4 on 12th July with other platforms due afterwards. In the meantime enjoy the new Gorod Krovi trailer below.
