Over the past 15 years, if the Fast & Furious franchise has taught viewers one thing, it’s that although their characters may not have superpowers, they operate and ward off death as if they were superheroes. For example, Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto has driven his car off a giant cliff, Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner has jumped from a speeding train onto a speeding car and much more, only to walk away relatively unscathed each time.
Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the latest photo from the set of 2017’s Fast 8 features Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs confidently walking away from an overturned car, paying no mind to the wreckage behind him. The caption attached reads: “The Iceman cometh. And he don’t fucketh around. #OnSet #FastAndFurious8 #ZeroToleranceForBullshit #Iceman.” See the badass photo, which comes from Johnson’s Instagram, here…
Additionally, Fast 8 director F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton) recently posted the video below to his Instagram, in which Johnson is shown wearing a prison jumpsuit (with the sleeves ripped off) for a scene. In the short clip, Johnson makes a bold claim and promises that they will deliver the “prison scene of all prison scenes.”
Fast 8 is being penned by writer Chris Morgan and also stars Vin Diesel (The Last Witch Hunter), Michelle Rodriguez (Machete Kills), Tyrese Gibson (Transformers: The Last Knight), Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones), Jason Statham (Spy), Ludacris (Empire), Kurt Russell (Deepwater Horizon), Eva Mendes (The Place Beyond the Pines), Lucas Black (42), Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones), Scott Eastwood (The Longest Ride) and Charlize Theron (The Huntsman: Winter’s War). It is set for release on April 14th, 2017, followed by Fast & Furious 9 on April 19th, 2019 and Fast & Furious 10 on April 2nd, 2021.
